Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
As we approach the end of 2013 all of the staff at CBL International would like to wish everyone who has been a part of it Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
“We would like to thank all of our delegates for making our study abroad programmes such a great success this year. Also a big thank you to our partners and staff for their on-going support” said Dominik Wanner, Chief Executive Officer at CBL International. “2013 was a great year and we are looking forward to 2014.”
In 2013 CBL International welcomed more delegates on our study abroad programmes than ever before. We also launched our first exclusive study abroad programme for high school students in Oxford and Cambridge which was a great success.
Philippines Typhoon Appeal Dinner
On 23rd November, CBL International co-hosted a fundraising dinner held together with Oriel College and Blackfriars to raise funds for the Philippines Typhoon Appeal. The special dinner ending up raising over £6,500.
“Catastrophes like the Typhoon in the Philippines affect us all and at times like this it’s important to help where we can” said Tina Jiang, Head of Academic Programmes. “We are glad the dinner held at the Oriel College helped to raise funds for the appeal.”
Dubai Expo 2020, New Programme in April
For the first time CBL International will add programmes in Dubai in April. Focussing on legal and business topics, the new session will be held from 12 until 25 April 2014.
2014 also sees additions to the Dubai programme. Previously the schools have included a one day visit to Abu Dhabi. In 2014, Sharjah will officially become the third Emirate of the UAE hosting CBL International study abroad programmes in the Middle East with delegates visiting this emerging city.
We’re also extremely excited that Dubai will be hosting the World Expo in 2020, this will boost the economy and tourism in Dubai significantly.
Outlook on Oxford Easter Programmes in 2014
Our Oxford Law and Business Easter Schools will run from 6 April until 19 April 2014.
During the programme delegates will not only participate in tutorials and seminars but also take in the British culture and visit famous landmarks including Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill.
